I am a 67 year old, wife to Noel, a mother to Sharene in Tasmania and Kathryne on the Goldcoast, I am grandmother of Mikala,24, Breanna 22, Baylee 19, Laura 18, and James 16.
I love gardening but my body no longer lets me enjoy that pleasure. I love faceting gem stones, oilpainting, patchwork quilting, music reading, and of course I'm addicted to scrapbooking.
I've been scrapping since 1999. Interestingly, scrapping came to Tasmania a couple of years before it became popular up here.
We owned a big Newsagency in Tas. and started stocking scrapbook supplies. I came to the mainland and travelled right round Australia looking for some wholesalers , but no one on the mainland had heard of scrapbooking back then. One of my neighbours had a daughter living in the USA, and she had just opened her own scrapbooking shop. We were lucky enough to get her to do a demo on one of her visits home and we got our supplies through her and Tasmania was on the map as far as Scrapping goes. It was a good 3 yers later before we could buy stock from Australian wholesalers.
